A 43-year-old man diagnosed with a rare vascular condition underwent a successful life-saving surgery in a Kolkata hospital. Sandip Bose, a resident of Sodepur, experienced sharp pain in his stomach and back. He was diagnosed with aortic dissection, a life-threatening condition where the aorta wall ruptures, causing severe internal bleeding. Dr. Shubhabrata Banerjee and his team performed a minimally invasive cardiovascular surgery, implanting a stent in Bose's aorta to seal the rupture and restore blood flow. Bose is now recovering well and grateful for the new lease on life.
