No ‘smartphones’ during duty at Ram consecration ceremony for police personnel

The Uttar Pradesh Police headquarters has issued a directive instructing police personnel not to carry smartphones during their deployment at the Ram consecration ceremony on January 22. This move aims to tighten security and address concerns about potential lapses in focus and protocol. Director General, Law and Order, Prashant Kumar stated that smartphones can be a distraction, diverting personnel's attention from their crucial security duties. The ban aims to ensure that police remain fully alert and focused on their surroundings, minimizing the risk of security breaches.
