Mahadev betting app case: ED names former Chhattisgarh CM Baghel in supplementary chargesheet; BJP attacks Congress

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has named former Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel in a supplementary charge sheet filed on January 1, 2024, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. Baghel is accused of receiving bribes totaling around Rs 508 crore from the promoters of the Mahadev App. The charge sheet also lists other accused individuals, including Subham Soni, Anil Kumar Agrawal, Rohit Gulati, Bhim Singh Yadav, and Asim Das. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has alleged corruption against the Congress party in response to this development.
