Congress slams Maharashtra government over delay in getting Wagh Nakh from London

IndiaTimes Sunday, 7 January 2024
Congress's opposition leader Vijay Wadettiwar criticizes Culture Affairs Minister Sudhir Munganthiwar for the delay in obtaining the wagh nakh, a dagger resembling tiger claws. Munganthiwar claimed it would arrive in November 2023, but it has not arrived even in January 2024. Wadettiwar questions the whereabouts of the wagh nakh and mocks Munganthiwar's unsuccessful trip to London to acquire it. The Maharashtra government signed an MoU with London's Victoria and Albert Museum to retrieve the wagh nakh, which was allegedly used by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to kill Afzal Khan.

Mumbai Hit-n-Run: Congress Leader Charges Mumbai Police and CM Shinde For Delay in Investigation

Opposition leader Vijay Wadettiwar accused the Maharashtra government of deliberately delaying the arrest of Mihir Shah, the main suspect in a recent incident. Wadettiwar alleged this delay was to allow time for alcohol to clear from Shah's system before testing. He claimed the police and government attempted to cover up the issue, hiding Shah until he tested negative for alcohol. Wadettiwar suggested this was done to protect the accused and called for a high-level investigation into the matter, questioning the integrity of the arrest process. #MumbaiHitNRun #PuneHitnRun #MihirShah #EknathShinde #Shinde #Wadettiwar #CongressMaharashtra #Indianews #Oneindia #Oneindianews ~PR.320~ED.155~GR.124~HT.96~
