Manipur: 4 people, including father-son duo, killed by suspected Kuki militants

Suspected Kuki militants killed four villagers, including a father-son duo, in Manipur’s Churachandpur district, police said on Thursday. A police official in the capital Imphal said that the four villagers from the Akasoi village had gone to a nearby forested area in Churachandpur district on Wednesday to collect firewood before militants kidnapped and killed them. The cops recovered the bodies of the victims on Thursday from Kumbi in the Bishnupur district. The security forces are now conducting search operations to arrest the militants.
