Odisha government asks doctors to write prescriptions in good handwriting

The Odisha government has instructed all doctors in the state to write prescriptions in legible handwriting or in typed form as per the guidelines of the National Medical Commission. The move comes after the Orissa High Court expressed concerns about doctors' illegible handwriting affecting the comprehension of medico-legal documents. Doctors dealing with medico-legal issues have been directed to write in capital letters, type their reports, or improve their handwriting to ensure clarity and ease of reading for the judicial system.
