TMC organizes protest rally against central government over withholding funds

The TMC organized protest rally against the BJP-led central government alleged misuse of central agencies and for withholding central funds. TMC leaders, including Kunal Ghosh, the party's State General Secretary, actively participated in the protest. Highlighting the two primary reasons behind the demonstration, Kunal Ghosh said, One is that the central funds are blocked. Second, CBI and ED are misused for vindictive politics." However, the ministry of rural development stated that the release of funds for West Bengal was halted on March 9, 2022, in accordance with Section 27 of MGNREGA.
