Worm in IndiGo sandwich fallout: FSSAI directs flight caterers to ‘enhance food safety protocols’

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has instructed flight caterers to "strengthen current food safety protocols" following an incident where an IndiGo passenger reportedly discovered a worm in a sandwich. FSSAI conducted a meeting with major flight caterers on January 16 to "assess" the effectiveness of existing safety measures. The purpose of the meeting was to pinpoint areas that need enhancement and to reaffirm the dedication to delivering safe and high-quality inflight meals to passengers.
