Orphanage horror: Hung upside down, branded with hot iron
Friday, 19 January 2024 Tales of torture tumbled out of children aged between four and 14 years at an orphanage in Indore when a government team carried out a surprise inspection on January 12. Terrified children told officials of the child welfare committee (CWC) that they were hung upside down, branded with hot iron, tortured with red chili smoke, and photographed after being stripped naked - as punishment over minor mistakes or none at all.
