PM Modi takes blessings from elephant 'Andal', performs rituals at Sri Ranganathaswamy temple
Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a visit to the Sri Ranganathaswamy temple in Sri Rangam, Tiruchirappalli, clad in traditional Tamil attire. During his sojourn, he adorned a pristine 'veshti' and an angavastram (shawl), engaging in reverent prayers with folded hands within the confines of the Lord Vishnu temple. Seeking divine blessings, PM Modi approached the temple elephant and was bestowed with a 'Sadari' by the temple priests. His visit encompassed various 'sannadhis' (enclosures for deities), notably those dedicated to the Vaishnavite saint-guru Sri Ramanjuacharya and Sri Chakkarathazhwar.
