J&K creates record, distributes 94K sanction letters to set up startups, units in a day
Thursday, 25 January 2024 J&K administration has scripted a new record by providing entrepreneurship and self-employment opportunities to 94,680 youth in a single day, with LG Manoj Sinha handing over sanction letters to set up new units and startups at a function in Jammu on Wednesday.
Continuous heavy rainfall has battered numerous areas of Jammu and Kashmir, compelling the Union territory administration to take precautionary measures by closing schools across the Kashmir valley and Reasi district, as reported by officials. The persistent downpour in recent days has inflicted severe damage in various regions. Flash floods and landslides, triggered by the torrential rain, have affected parts of Poonch and northern Kashmir, resulting in damage to both public infrastructure and private property.
