Ring Road scam: Supreme Court declines Andhra government's plea against anticipatory bail to TDP chief Naidu

IndiaTimes Monday, 29 January 2024
The Supreme Court rejected the Andhra Pradesh government's appeal challenging the Andhra Pradesh High Court's decision to grant anticipatory bail to former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. This relates to an FIR filed in 2022 regarding a scam in the development of the Inner Ring Road in Amravati city. The bench stated that, based on a prior order from the apex court, they are not inclined to consider the appeal from the state government.
