Stop referring to trial courts as lower courts: Supreme Court
Sunday, 11 February 2024 Supreme Court has asked its registry to stop referring to trial courts as lower courts. "Even the record of the trial court should not be referred to as lower court record (LCR). Instead, it should be referred to as trial court record (TCR)," a bench of Justices Abhay S Oka and Ujjal Bhuyan said in an order on February 8.
In an absolutely ridiculous decision, the Hawaii Supreme Court has simply thumbed its nose at the entirely of the modern Second Amendment law of the US Supreme Court, going so far as to prioritize "Aloha spirit" over the SCOTUS rulings of Heller, McDonald, and Bruen.
