Poll date announcement: EC to announce Lok Sabha election schedule tomorrow

The poll panel took to X, formerly Twitter, and said that it will hold a press conference tomorrow announce schedule for general elections 2024 and some state assemblies. The term of the present Lok Sabha ends on June 16 and a new House has to be constituted before that. Last time, the Lok Sabha polls were announced on March 10 and held in seven phases.
