In a first, Persons above 85, those with over 40 per cent disability can vote from home for Lok Sabha polls
Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar declared during a press briefing on Saturday that individuals aged 85 and older, along with those with disabilities surpassing 40 percent, will be provided the opportunity to vote from their residences in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. Kumar revealed this initiative while disclosing the electoral timetable for the Lok Sabha election and assembly elections in four states.
