Rooftop solar applications cross 1cr mark, hit target in a month
Over one crore households have applied for central financial aid under the rooftop solar scheme, surpassing the government's target within a month of PM Modi introducing the 'PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana'. Launched on Feb 13, the scheme aims to assist one crore households in installing rooftop solar plants and receiving up to 300 units of free power monthly.
