Sunday, 17 March 2024 In an effort to ensure "sustainable" polling, the Election Commission on Saturday issued a set of waste management directions for poll machines and political parties for the upcoming general elections. "In a step towards sustainable or eco-friendly elections, we are making efforts to minimise single-use plastic and encourage eco-friendly practices in the election process", CECRajiv Kumar said.
