‘Tainted’: TN governor nixes Stalin bid to reinduct ex-minister Ponmudy

Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi has turned down CM M K Stalin's proposal to reinstate K Ponmudy as a minister. The Governor cited Ponmudy's tainted corruption record as the reason for rejecting the recommendation. Ponmudy, who previously served as the higher education minister, had to step down following a corruption conviction by the Madras High Court last December.
