The Election Commission (EC) has taken swift action by removing West Bengal DGP Rajeev Kumar and six state chief secretaries to ensure a fair electoral process for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. This decision was made in light of concerns over potential election-related violence and law and order issues in the state. Rajeev Kumar, known for his close ties to Mamata Banerjee's government, has been relieved of his election-related responsibilities for the third time.
