Ex-US, SL envoy Sandhu joins BJP, may be fielded from Amritsar

Former Indian diplomat Taranjit Singh Sandhu joined BJP on Tuesday and is expected to contest the Lok Sabha election from Amritsar. Sandhu had earlier served as India's envoy to the US and Sri Lanka. He expressed gratitude to PM Modi, Amit Shah, and party president J P Nadda for providing him with the opportunity to start his political journey.
