Former Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan joins BJP
Wednesday, 20 March 2024 Tamilisai Soundararajan joined the BJP in Chennai on Wednesday, a day after resigning as Telangana governor. Tamil Nadu party leader K Annamalai was also there. Soundararajan's resignation was announced while Prime Minister Modi was holding an election rally in the state's Jagtial district. Tamilisai sent her resignation to President Droupadi Murmu and sent a copy to Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah.
