Pilibhit BJP MP Varun Gandhi will not be joining forces with Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party, as confirmed by SP's latest candidate list. Bhagwat Saran Gangwar has been nominated by SP for the Pilibhit seat, replacing the incumbent. Gangwar, a veteran five-time MLA from Nawabganj in Bareilly, had previously contested the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Bareilly under the SP banner.
