Tamil Nadu CM Stalin backs TM Krishna on music award, says don't mix politics and music

Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin came out in support of TM Krishna amid artist protests over Sangitha Kalanidhi award. Stalin defended Krishna's political views, stating, "Criticism of TM Krishna for his progressive stances is regrettable." Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leader Kanimozhi also came out in support of the carnatic vocalist. The Sangita Kalanidhi awardee will preside between December 15, 2024, and January 1, 2025.
