Tuesday, 26 March 2024 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday praised Rekha Patra - one of the several survivors of the alleged largescale sexual violence and land grab at Sandeshkhali in West Bengal and who has been nominated by BJP for the Basirhat Lok Sabha seat - and called her "Shakti Swaroopa" for showing the courage to register the first FIR against the Trinamool strongman allegedly responsible for her ordeal.
In a scathing critique of previous Congress administrations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lambasted their approach to dealing with Pakistan's terrorism. Modi likened their efforts to sending "love letters" to Pakistan in a bid for peace, only to witness a surge in terrorist activities as a result. His remarks underscored the need for a more assertive stance against terrorism, emphasising the imperative of safeguarding national security. Furthermore, Modi alleged that Pakistani leaders are actively advocating for Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to ascend to India's prime ministership post-election. However, Modi firmly asserted that India, in its pursuit of strength and security, unequivocally demands a resilient and steadfast government.
