Coast Guard detains Iran boat, rescues 6 Indian crew

IndiaTimes Monday, 6 May 2024
An Iranian fishing vessel has been detained by Indian Coast Guard (ICG) off the coast of Kerala after its six-member Indian crew complained of exploitation and mistreatment by the boat's owner. After the ICG intercepted the fishing vessel west of Beypore in a swift sea-air operation late on Sunday night, a team boarded the boat to check for "any anti-national activity", officials said on Monday.

BREAKING: Indian Coast Guard Dhruv Helicopter Crashes in Gujarat During Training, Three Dead

The Indian Coast Guard has launched an investigation into the crash, and further details are awaited. This tragedy comes on the heels of a recent safety upgrade to the ALH fleet, implemented by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), aimed at addressing a series of previous accidents. Despite the upgrade, the crash raises questions about the ongoing airworthiness of the Dhruv helicopters, which had faced grounding due to safety concerns last year. #IndianCoastGuard #HelicopterCrash #DhruvHelicopter #PorbandarCrash #IndianMilitary #CoastGuardHelicopter #HelicopterAccident #IndianAirForce #GujaratCrash #MilitaryTraining #HALDhruv #TechnicalDifficulties #IndianCoastGuardNews #GujaratAccident #IndianMilitaryLoss Also Read Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025: Apply Now For 140 Assistant Commandant Vacancies :: https://www.oneindia.com/india/indian-coast-guard-recruitment-2025-apply-now-for-140-assistant-commandant-vacancies-4002493.html?ref=DMDesc Indian Coast Guard's SAREX-24 Maritime Search and Rescue Exercise to Commence on November 28 in Kochi :: https://www.oneindia.com/india/indian-coast-guard-sarex-24-maritime-search-rescue-exercise-011-4000267.html?ref=DMDesc Tamil Nadu's Marina Beach Cleans Up: Coast Guard Leads International Coastal Clean-Up Day Initiative :: https://www.oneindia.com/chennai/tamil-nadu-coast-guard-organises-drive-at-chennais-marina-beach-for-international-coastal-clean-up-011-3940951.html?ref=DMDesc ~HT.178~GR.121~PR.152~ED.102~
