'Making sure this doesn't repeat...': Maldives minister over remarks on PM Modi
Thursday, 9 May 2024 Maldivian Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer, who is on his first official visit to India, has distanced his government from the derogatory remarks made by some of its ministers against Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Security forces have released sketches of three suspected Pakistani terrorists behind the Pahalgam attack that killed 26 people, mostly tourists, in South Kashmir's Anantnag. The suspects—Asif Fauji, Suleman Shah, and Abu Talha—used code names in earlier strikes. The Lashkar-backed group “The Resistance Front” claimed responsibility. Pencil sketches, based on survivor accounts, show young men with sharp features. Global leaders, including President Trump, condemned the attack and extended support to India. PM Modi cut short his Saudi visit and returned for urgent national security meetings.
