Red alert in Delhi: Extreme temperatures to stay till Friday

Delhi is facing a severe heatwave with a red alert from the IMD. Najafgarh recorded 47.4 degrees Celsius, Safdarjung 44.1. Mungeshpur, Pitampura, and Jafarpur also saw high temperatures. The forecast predicts temperatures reaching 46 degrees Celsius by Friday, coinciding with the Lok Sabha elections. The IMD advised staying indoors and keeping hydrated.
