Manipur: Situation 'tense' but 'under control' in violence-hit Jiribam

The situation in Jiribam district of Manipur remained tense but manageable on Sunday. Suspected militants torched two police outposts and at least 70 houses in a fresh wave of violence, according to police. More than 70 houses were set on fire in Lamtai Khunou, Dibong Khunou, Nunkhal and Begra villages, a senior police officer said.
