Former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's trusted aide, VK Pandian, announced his retirement from active politics on Sunday. Pandian’s decision comes shortly after the Biju Janata Dal (BJP) experienced significant setbacks in both the Odisha assembly and Lok Sabha elections. This move also follows a statement from Naveen Patnaik asserting that VK Pandian was not his "successor".
