Monday, 10 June 2024 () As the BJP prepares to announce the name of its chief minister for Odisha on Wednesday, the search for an official residence has begun. Currently, Odisha does not have an official residence for the chief minister. For the past 24 years, Naveen Patnaik has been operating from his personal residence, Naveen Niwas. Previously, former Congress chief ministers JB Patnaik and Giridhar Gamang resided in a government quarter situated between Raj Bhavan and AG Square.

Ranchi: Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren was granted bail by the High Court in a land scam case, leading to his release from jail this morning. The court found that, prima facie, Soren is not guilty and is unlikely to commit another offense while on bail.
