Jailed BrahMos scientist delivered 80 missiles to forces
Wednesday, 12 June 2024 Former BrahMos scientist Nishant Agrawal, who was sentenced to life by a sessions court here on June 3 for leaking military secrets to Pakistan, worked in the missile assembly unit at Nagpur and was involved in delivery of close to 80 missiles to the armed forces during his four-year stint. He had access to customers and delivery locations of missiles, as per Major General (retd) Achyut Deo, general manager, BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited (BAPL), who deposed as a witness during Nishant's trial.

Tragedy struck late last night on the Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway, also known as the Samruddhi Mahamarg, when a horrific collision between two cars claimed the lives of six individuals and left four others injured. The accident occurred near Kadwanchi village in Jalna district, approximately 400 km from Mumbai. The crash involved a Swift Dzire entering the highway from the wrong side after refueling, which collided with an Ertiga traveling from Nagpur to Mumbai. The impact was so severe that the Ertiga was flung into the air, landing on the highway's barricade, with passengers thrown onto the road. The Bannu military cantonment in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, located over 330 km east of Islamabad, came under a severe attack early on Monday (July 15). The Shehbaz Sharif-led government in Pakistan has decided to ban the jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, the country's Information Minister announced on Monday. The PTI is Pakistan's largest opposition party. Attaullah Tarar, the Pakistani Minister for Information and Broadcasting, announced in a press conference that the decision to ban the PTI was made due to alleged anti-state activities. The case will be referred to the Supreme Court, according to Pakistani media.
