Could 'Kavach' have helped prevent Kanchanjunga express accident? Here's how it works

Jaya Varma Sinha, Chairman & CEO of Railway Board, stated that the anti-collision system 'Kavach' was absent in the Kanchanjunga Express, which tragically collided with a goods train on Monday, resulting in at least 8 fatalities and over 20 injuries. "Prima facie, it seems to be a human error," she said, further adding that "first indications suggest that this is a case of signal disregard."
