Heatwave likely to continue in northern parts of India, including Delhi

Delhi recorded temperatures well above normal, with high humidity amplifying the heat index to 46 degrees Celsius. The region has endured prolonged heatwaves, while the IMD also forecasts extremely heavy rainfall in Northeast India, particularly Meghalaya, Assam, and Arunachal Pradesh, indicating a shift in weather patterns across the country.
