Excise policy case: Delhi court issues production warrant for CM Arvind Kejriwal on July 12
Wednesday, 10 July 2024 () A Delhi court issued production warrants for Arvind Kejriwal in relation to the 2021-22 excise policy irregularities. The seventh ED chargesheet named Kejriwal and AAP, requiring his court appearance on July 12. Vinod Chauhan and Ashish Mathur were accused in an eighth chargesheet, mandating Chauhan's production and Mathur's summons. ED alleged AAP used Rs 45 crore for Goa elections, with Kejriwal held responsible. Chanpreet Singh managed the funds, Abhishek Boinpally gave cash to Ashok Kaushik, who passed it to Chauhan. Chauhan also arranged Delhi Jal Board postings and Kejriwal's Goa hotel stay, transferring Rs 25.5 crore.
