India, Maldives resolved 'rough patches, misunderstandings' in ties: Foreign minister Zameer

India and Maldives have addressed early misunderstandings under the Muizzu-led government, which leans towards China. Maldivian Foreign minister Moosa Zameer noted improved relations, with Muizzu set to visit India soon. Initial friction involved demands for Indian military withdrawal and controversial comments by Maldivian ministers, who were later suspended. "(We) have good relations with both China and India, and both countries continue to support Maldives," he said.
