BRS ex-MLA Chennamaneni Ramesh is German, can’t have Indian citizenship: Telangana HC

Telangana High Court revoked the Indian citizenship of ex-MLA Chennamaneni Ramesh, imposing a ₹30 lakh fine for concealing his German citizenship. The court deemed his participation in elections since 2009 as undermining genuine Indian citizens' rights. Ramesh's repeated opponent, Adi Srinivas, will receive ₹25 lakh of the penalty.
