Ex-Supreme Court judge V Ramasubramanian appointed NHRC chief
Former Supreme Court judge V Ramasubramanian was appointed chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission of India (NHRC). The position was vacant since June. Ramasubramanian served on the Supreme Court from 2019 to 2023 and was Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh high court. A high-powered committee including PM Modi selected him.
