CJI-led bench to hear 'Bhojshala temple-Kamal Maula mosque' dispute
Thursday, 2 January 2025 Supreme Court stays proceedings on the Bhojshala temple-Kamal Maula mosque dispute, directs it to be heard with other petitions challenging the Places of Worship Act. The U.S. Supreme Court has temporarily blocked the Trump administration’s attempt to fire whistleblower chief Hampton Dellinger. The Biden appointee will remain in his post at least until Feb. 26 as legal proceedings continue. Liberal justices opposed the firing, while conservative justices dissented, arguing the court overstepped. This marks the first Supreme Court challenge to Trump’s removals.
