Dense fog grips Delhi, visibility drops to zero for record nine hours; over 400 flights delayed

Delhi experienced an unusually prolonged nine-hour dense fog episode with zero visibility, disrupting 81 train services and leading to 15 flight diversions. Visibility was lowest between 6 pm and 3 am. Maximum temperatures hit 20°C and minimum 7.8°C. Forecasts suggest continued fog and smog conditions, with very poor air quality recorded at AQI 378.
