Don’t call a disputed structure masjid: UP CM Yogi Adityanath

IndiaTimes Friday, 10 January 2025 ()
UP CM Yogi Adityanath insists that any disputed structure should not be called a mosque. He suggests that if historical, archaeological or faith-based evidence shows a temple beneath the Sambhal Jama Masjid, it should be handed back to Hindus without court intervention. He believes Islam didn't exist when the temple was present.

Yogi Questions Congress: Calls Out Emergency-Era Addition of 'Secular', 'Socialist' to Constitution

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has stirred a historical debate by alleging that the words "Secular" and "Socialist" were not part of the original Constitution drafted under Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Speaking on the subject, CM Yogi claimed that these terms were clandestinely introduced into the Preamble during the Emergency period by the Congress government. He emphasized that these additions did not reflect the vision of the framers of the Constitution and were inserted without broader public consensus. The remarks have reignited discussions on the legacy of the Emergency and its impact on India’s democratic framework, with sharp reactions from political observers and opposition leaders. #YogiAdityanath #CongressControversy #SecularSocialistDebate #ConstitutionHistory #EmergencyEra #BabaSahebAmbedkar #PoliticalLegacy #IndianConstitution #YogiVsCongress #SecularismInIndia #SocialismInIndia #ConstitutionalAmendments #EmergencyImpact #PoliticalDebate #UPChiefMinister ~PR.152~ED.102~HT.318~GR.344~
