Delhi airport launches new system to improve airside operations
Monday, 3 March 2025 Delhi airport operator DIAL has launched the Unified Total Airside Management (UTAM) system to enhance operational efficiency and safety. Using AI, ML, IoT, and radar, UTAM monitors airside vehicles, tracks aircraft movements, and prevents delays by issuing alerts. It optimizes turnaround time, taxiway allocation, and runway occupancy while ensuring compliance with speed limits. After a successful pilot with Akasa Airlines, other airlines will join in phases at IGI Airport.
