Separatism has become a thing of the past in Kashmir. Two organizations associated with the Hurriyat Conference have severed ties with separatism. They now support the Indian Constitution. Home Minister Amit Shah credited this move to the unifying policies of the Narendra Modi government. Shah called this a significant victory for Prime Minister Modi's vision of a peaceful, unified India.
