Wednesday, 12 February 2025 A 53-year-old man in Mumbai has died due to Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) after being hospitalized in critical condition. This is Mumbai's first GBS-related death. The man, a ward boy, had visited Pune prior to hospitalization. GBS, a rare autoimmune disorder, causes muscle weakness and paralysis. Mumbai earlier reported its first GBS case on February 7.
