Funeral held for former Man Utd legend Denis Law

Mourners arrived for the funeral of Man United player Denis Law on Tuesday. The Aberdeen-born striker died on 17 January 2025, aged 84, more than three years after he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and vascular dementia. PM reveals favourite book and footballer to Kyiv school kids

Sir Keir Starmer has chatted with schoolchildren in Kyiv on his first visit to the country since he became prime minister in July. On the visit he met his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy to sign a new agreement which sets out co-operation between the countries that will stretch into the next century. One pupil asked Starmer to reveal his favourite football player, to which the Arsenal fan replied that it was Martin Ødegaard and that his "all-time favourite Arsenal player is Thierry Henry".
