UN agency says to halt Gaza work unless fuel arrives

IndiaTimes Tuesday, 24 October 2023
The UN agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, has warned that it may have to stop operations in the Gaza Strip unless urgent fuel deliveries are made. Aid agencies have expressed concern about the lack of fuel, which is necessary to power essential services such as hospitals. Six hospitals have already closed due to the fuel shortage, and the World Health Organization has stated that the limited supplies currently available will only last for a little over 24 hours.
