Israel to shun Paris Gaza aid conference: French presidency
Wednesday, 8 November 2023 Israeli representatives will not be participating in a humanitarian conference for Gaza organized by French President Emmanuel Macron. However, Israel has expressed an interest in improving the humanitarian situation in Gaza. Macron has spoken to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and will speak to him again after the conference. Macron has also spoken to Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, as both countries are involved in efforts to bring aid to Gaza.
