US' Florida on high alert as Hurricane Helene approaches
Monday, 23 September 2024 () Florida's Gulf Coast and Panhandle are on alert as Tropical Storm Nine strengthens into a potential hurricane. Governor Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency for 41 counties to facilitate preparations. The National Hurricane Center warns of dangerous rip currents, storm surges, damaging winds, and heavy rainfall beginning Wednesday.
