The US Justice Department has unveiled charges against Farhad Shakeri, an Afghan national allegedly linked to Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps, for plotting to assassinate former President Donald Trump during his 2016 campaign. Shakeri, who was deported from the US in 2008, allegedly received instructions and financial backing from an IRGC official to develop the assassination plan.
