Trump escalates crackdown on immigration : 1,500 additional troops to be deployed to US-Mexico border

US President Trump has directed the deployment of an additional 1,500 military personnel to the US-Mexico border, raising the troop count to roughly 4,000. The forces, comprising Army and Marine units, will assist in constructing physical barriers and other duties. Additionally, military airlift support will aid DHS in deporting over 5,000 migrants from key sectors.
