Ship owner says arrested captain of cargo vessel involved in North Sea collision is Russian
Wednesday, 12 March 2025 A Russian captain is in U.K. police custody after his cargo ship collided with a U.S. tanker transporting jet fuel in the North Sea. The collision resulted in one crew member missing and a risk of environmental damage. The incident involved a mix of Russian and Filipino crew and no foul play is suspected.
